Looking for a Small Engine Mechanic
Full-time or Part-time
Monday through Friday
No weekends
Responsibilities:
-Inspect equipment and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
-Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
-Inspect engines and identify defective or worn parts
-Perform thorough routine maintenance on equipment
-Keep notes of all work done, including parts used and labor hours
-Undertake other duties as assigned, including but not limited to pickups and deliveries
Skills:
-Experience as a mechanic, specializing in 2-stroke theory
-Knowledge of engines, hydraulics and electrical systems
-Problem solver
-Ability to follow procedures and practices
-Able to read/understand instructions and parts breakdowns
-Follow health and safety guidelines
-Good communication and customer service skills
-Can work independently and as part of a team
-Able to pay attention to detail
-Willingness to learn and improve skills
A job for any age, open to applicants under 18 years of age as permitted
High school diploma is preferred
Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus
